Sceletium tortuosum is a South African succulent plant. Local people traditionally ferment the plant into its medicinal form – called kanna, channa, or kougoed – and chew it to relieve hunger, thirst, and pain. The plant is traditionally known for its ability to elevate mood, reduce stress, tension, anti-anxiety and its tranquilizing properties.

Harvest the roots, dehydrate into a powder, great as a tincture. Makes a great garden succulent!

Soil: Rich and well draining
Watering: Water regularly, Likes dry sandy soils
Position: Can handle Full sun
Fertilizing: Compost, Manure, Liquid feed
